Cast announced for The Boy in the Iron Box produced by del Toro

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Rupert Friend, Kevin Durand, and Jaeden Martell have joined the film The Boy in the Iron Box, produced by Guillermo del Toro. The film is based on short novels by Chuck Hogan and is being made for Netflix. David Prior, who collaborated with del Toro on Cabinet of Curiosities, serves as the director and screenwriter.
The story follows a group of soldiers whose plane crashes in a remote, snowy region. To escape wolves and the biting wind, they find no refuge other than a labyrinth-like stone fortress. The fortress proves more of a trap than a shelter, and what they discover inside takes their breath away, setting off a desperate fight for survival.
Sources at Once on Netflix say the project is being developed as a feature film rather than a series. Del Toro and Hogan previously collaborated on The Strain trilogy and The Hollow Ones.
Netflix is also set to release Frankenstein next November, starring Jacob Elordi as the monster and Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein.
